Finger Lakes Visitors Connection is the tourism promotion and management agency for Ontario County. Our mission is to create visitorship and economic vitality for Ontario County by marketing its tourism assets and positioning the area as a premier leisure and meetings destination.

The June 2014 cover of Wine & Spirits magazine features Heron Hill Winery’s 2012 Classic Dry Riesling recognizing the wine as one of the “100 Top Value Wines of the year for $15 or less.” The wine was the only east coast label illustrated on the cover of this popular annual buying guide. Along with highlighting the Classic Dry Riesling, Wine & Spirits also named Heron Hill a value brand of the year. 

The Smith Center for the Arts is the premier organization in the Finger Lakes promoting art and cultural events at the historic Smith Opera House in Geneva. The new website, launched on May 7, 2014 showcases upcoming events and makes tickets readily available for purchase on line. The website,, will feature background information on live events, artists, films, community programs, off-site venues for club-style events, and Artsmart Educational Programs. The public will be able to purchase tickets easily through the website for any event or venue. 

The New York Wine & Culinary Center has announced its next installment of the Rendezvous with Riesling Event, now labeled the Riesling Release Party on Friday, May 16th at 7:00pm. Guest wineries will release their 2013 Riesling on this night, which will give participants exclusive samples of this year’s up and coming Finger Lakes’ Riesling contenders. 

The Johnston House opens for the season on May 3, 2014. Built by John and Margaret Johnston in the 1820s, the Johnston House originally sat on an important farm where John Johnston became a well-known advocate of improved farming techniques. Johnston was the first American farmer to use soil drainage tiles to increase productivity on his farm, which was considered by some in the 19th century to be “the most important agricultural spot in America.” 

To celebrate the awesome season at Bristol Mountain we are offering our new Awesome April Season Pass.  This pass offers unlimited skiing and riding from 9am-4pm, from April 1st through the last day of the season for only $89.   If the season is extended, those dates will be included on this pass.  Anyone ages 8 and older may purchase the Awesome April Pass.  As always, Children 7 and under ski for free.  This pass is available for sale by going to or by stopping by the Guest Services office between 9am-4pm.
