Canandaigua, NY—On November 11, 2015, the seminal federal Canandaigua Treaty will once again be commemorated in Canandaigua, where in 1794, representatives of the Haudenosaunee (Six Nations) and the United States government met to sign an historic agreement. Friends of Ganondagan, along with the 1794 Canandaigua Treaty Committee, host this annual event in recognition of the treaty that brought peace between the Haudenosaunee and the United States, and recognized the sovereignty of the Haudenosaunee to govern and set laws as individual nations. 

CANANDAIGUA – The year is 1908 and Mrs. Mary Clark Thompson, one of the original owners of Sonnenberg Gardens, is celebrating the opening of her Aviary complex’s new Peacock House. Guests as well as a rare white peacock are arriving at Sonnenberg when the maid discovers a hidden cache of diamonds. Intrigue and mystery abound! 

Watkins Glen, New York, August 12 - Ventosa Vineyards 2011 Lemberger, Estate Grown from the Finger Lakes Region won the coveted "Governor's Cup" trophy at the 2015 New York Wine & Food Classic competition, held on August 11 & 12 at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen, NY. The "Winery of the Year" award went to Paumanok Vineyards on the North Fork of Long Island.

GENEVA, NY – GAEL Brewing Company, the newest microbrewery located at 4180 State Route 14 in the Town of Geneva is hosting its Grand Opening celebration on Sunday, August 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The celebration, rain or shine, will consist of live music from the Party Mix band; free birthday cake for “Cousin Liam” and other activities. Bring a chair, a picnic lunch and we will provide the beer for sale.
