The Culinary Institute of America hosts culinary workshops in the New York Wine & Culinary Center Hands-on Kitchen. Workshops will be 8:00 am – 2:30 pm, July 21 - July 25, 2014. Through hands-on cooking and chef demonstrations, registrants will learn knife skills, kitchen terminology, dry-heat cooking methods (roasting, grilling, sautéing, pan-frying, and stir-frying), and moist-heat cooking methods (braising, shallow poaching, deep poaching and steaming) with guidance from acclaimed CIA chef instructor, David Bruno, along the way.

Registrants will also enjoy food and wine pairings of NY State, American, French and Italian wines.
