Canandaigua, NY – December 26, 2012 — The New York Wine & Culinary Center announced today that the month of January will be dedicated to Food & Fitness with an affordable $10 per class series hosted by NYWCC Chef Instructor, Jeff McLean.  Together, you and Chef Jeff will maintain your New Year’s Resolution.

“From Drive-Thru Drama to Midnight Munchies, I will cover the major obstacles people, including me, encounter in their weight loss journey,” said McLean. “I will be the ‘poster child’ of the ten step program. Talk about accountability.”
McLean’s 10 step series will start on January 5. The program will coincide with a Center-wide Food & Fitness month including an antioxidant-rich Pinot Noir flight in The Tasting Room.
“Finger Lakes Pinot Noirs have some of the highest levels of resveratrol,” said Ryan Baldick, NYWCC Cellar Master. “Resveratrol has been linked to fighting bad cholesterol, increasing good cholesterol and benefiting overall heart health.”
Food & Fitness at The New York Wine & Culinary Center runs throughout January and will also include Saturday morning fitness classes at The Center by Canandaigua Fitness and Grounded by Yoga.  Chef Jeff will document his weight loss journey at and @ChefJeffNYWCC.  Food & Fitness classes can be reserved here:
The New York Wine and Culinary Center is open daily from 10am-9pm; Upstairs Bistro opens for lunch at 11:30am.  Visit or call 585.394.7070 for reservations and a full event and class schedule.
