GENEVA, NY – GAEL Brewing Company, the newest microbrewery located at 4180 State Route 14 in the Town of Geneva is hosting its Grand Opening celebration on Sunday, August 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The celebration, rain or shine, will consist of live music from the Party Mix band; free birthday cake for “Cousin Liam” and other activities. Bring a chair, a picnic lunch and we will provide the beer for sale.

The brewery plans to make this Summer St. Patrick’s Day (Liam’s Birthday) party an annual event.

GAEL Brewing Co. was born when George Adams and Elizabeth Lauzon combined their initials, cultural backgrounds and love for craft beer. George Adams, the owner and head brewer, is an accomplished home brewer who won awards at major statewide brewing contests. In a past life he was also an engineer with 20 years of large-scale engineering experience in Central New York. Elizabeth Lauzon, business manager, is also an amateur wine/cider maker, with past lives as a librarian and lawyer.

GAEL beer is currently only sold at the tasting room. With a 15-barrel system and fermenters built locally by Vance Metal Fabricators in Geneva, the company plans to distribute to local establishments in the near future.

“We are excited to become part of the Geneva community and the expanding number of quality craft breweries in the Finger Lakes,” said Adams.

GAEL Brewing Company’s tasting room is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is closed on Tuesdays. GAEL Brewing Company currently has six beers on tap, five regular beers and one seasonal beer. The brewery offers tastings of their beers, pint pours, and 32-ounce grumblers and 64-ounce growlers fills for sale. Free tours of the brewery operations are offered every Saturday at 1 p.m.
