Canandaigua, NY (June 20, 2012) – Roseland Waterpark is opening just in time for the summer heat wave. Drew Broderick, marketing director, says, “We are excited to kick off our 12th season on Saturday, June 23rd. The hours of operation for the upcoming opening weekend (June 23rd-24th) will be from 11am-6pm. Beginning June 25th the hours of operation will be from 11am-7:30pm.” The season runs from June 23rd through September 3rd. Roseland Waterpark’s attractions include the Giant Wave Pool with 5 foot high waves, The Cliff and Twister, 65 foot body slides, Adventure River, the Mammoth Raft Ride, which holds up to 4 people in each raft, and three thrilling tube slides; Hurricane, Tornado and Screamer; are not for the faint of heart. Other activities include: Bocce Ball, volleyball, Water Wars, Depth Charger and the Marina with paddleboat and kayak rentals.
The first 100 guests through the admissions gate on June 23rd will receive a commemorative Roseland Waterpark cartoon poster by local artist Jeff Moore. David Boyer, caricature artist, will be sketching caricatures from 2pm-4pm on Opening Day. These caricatures are free to our guests and are a first come, first serve basis. Back by popular demand is the Summer Gas Card Contest. Over the summer three $250 gas cards will be given away in a drawing. Drawing dates are July 15th, August 15th and September 15th. Operations Director, Mary Henderson, remarked, “The staff is ready to start our 12th season! They have really worked hard since April preparing for Opening Day this Saturday”. Henderson, also commented, “The majority of our staff consists of high school and college students and we look forward to their return each season.”
New this season, Roseland Waterpark tickets will be available for purchase at area Wegmans stores. Broderick, explains, “We are so excited to be working with the Wegmans organization this season”. Discounted Daily Regular and Youth Admission Tickets can be purchased through the That’s The Ticket program at the Customer Service Desk at Wegmans.
Those interested in the season pass program should know that for every season pass purchased by July 8th, you will receive one free Regular Admission ($24.95 value) ticket and two Half Priced Admission tickets ($24.95 value). The cost of the season pass this summer is $64.95 plus tax.
