Winter was a busy time for the Seneca people who lived at Ganondagan in the 17th-century. Learn what life was like by experiencing traditional Seneca activities for yourself, your family and friends!
Outdoors, learn how to play the competitive game of snowsnake, meet sled dogs and watch a dog sled demonstration, race small snowboats (akin to Pinewood Derby), and learn how to walk in snowshoes.
Inside, watch and participate in Iroquois Social Dancing, hear some wonderful winter stories, have the chance to win raffles, enjoy Iroquois White Corn-inspired food, and more! This is also a great opportunity to visit our exhibits and see the “Iroquois Creation Story” film.
