Casa Larga Vineyards, in partnership with the Perinton Recreation center, is proud to introduce our new Sip & Learn series! These classes are intended to teach you about the basics of wine, how it’s made, comparing the various aspects of wine, pairing it with foods, and just increasing your knowledge about specific types of wine. This fifth class in the series is focused on the process of making ice wines. This unique style of making wine is delicate and requires a special labor of love, and Casa Larga has a storied history. Our wine shop manager Corey will not only take you through the process of making ice wine, but he’ll also talk to you about the difference between Ice Wine and Iced Wines as well as delving into the difference between Ice Wine and Late Harvest varieties. You’ll also discuss common wine pairings and recipes in addition to being able to taste some wine pairings first hand. Gather up your friends and come to learn how to taste ice wines in a new way. Elevating your wine knowledge and tasting experience has never been easier!
