rent a snowmobile?
A. There
is no place to rent a snowmobile in Ontario County. However,
if you have your own, Hill
and Valley Riders has a large network of maintained trails
throughout the areA.
Q. What activities
are there on the lake and where can I rent a kayak or canoe?
A. There
are lots of activities to do on the lakes, including fishing,
boating of all sorts, windsurfing, sailboarding…. Marinas
throughout the area offer boat rentals, fishing gear and other
water activities. Go to Water

can I rent a boat and equipment for fishing?
A. Marinas
throughout the area offer boat rentals and fishing gear. A
fishing license is required for fishing in New York State.
You can obtain a fishing license at many of the marinas, as
well as the Town and City Halls. Go to "Water Activities"
for marina listings.
Q. Where
can I rent a bike?
A. Biking
is a favorite pastime in the Finger Lakes. To see where you
can rent bikes, go to What to Do - Recreation
and select "Hiking/Biking" in the features.
Q. Are there
any public beaches? Where can we swim for free?
A. There
are several public beaches on the lakes. Go to What to Do
- Water
Activities for swimming areas. You can swim for free at
Butler Beach, Deep Run Park and Sandy Bottom Beach.
