The Finger Lakes Visitors Connection wants to know what the real tourism experts - visitors and local residents - think are the highlights of the area. Billed as "The Best of the Best-Insider's Tips," the local tourism promotion agency (FLVC) is asking Ontario County residents and visitors to choose their favorite views, wine, foods, and fun things to do. "Best of the Best" encourages people to share their tips on what not to miss when touring Ontario County.

"Expert opinions are one thing," said Valerie Knoblauch, president of the tourism agency. "But just like any of us that travel, we don't want to miss out on those special things that make the area unique to our visitors and residents."

The Visitors Connection is looking for the most romantic and relaxing spots. Popular requests are that visitors want to know where the best places to take a picture are; best Finger Lakes Food; best places to fish and golf; best road to drive, hike or bike; best place to go for ice cream, pizza, wings or subs; and best reasons to come to the area in the winter. "We have so much to see and do here," said Pat Charland, vice president of marketing for FLVC.

"We want to have fun with it and find out what those of you, who live, work or play here would recommend. There are a lot of hidden treasures close by. We are looking for an overall "Best of the Best" and a person's fondest memory of the area. "
