Favorite Activities in the Finger Lakes

An occasional adventurous home cook—especially after a farmers market haul—she is also a wine enthusiast who enjoys dry whites (bring on the dry Rieslings), full-bodied reds, and semi-sweet sparkling varieties. You’ll often find her tasting her way through the Finger Lakes and curating her wine cabinet and restocking the fridge with local sours and stouts. Passionate about sourcing local, she enjoys connecting with farmers and CSAs and takes full advantage of the region’s farm-to-table offerings. When needed, she loves hunting for new ingredients at Wegmans.

Alicia’s an avid equestrian, actively involved in dressage, show jumping, and eventing. She volunteers with the United States Pony Club and enjoys giving back by supporting regional competitions. As an outdoor enthusiast, she also enjoys being on the water and looks forward to exploring local marinas when not out on the trail—especially when one leads  to a waterfall or offers scenic views.

Interesting Facts

Alicia helped curate a historical museum (The Weatherly Area Museum) in her hometown, which she co-founded with her late grandfather. Passionate about community history and preservation, she believes it enhances quality of life and keeps local stories alive—especially those tied to the Lehigh Valley Railroad (LVRR), which once brought business and growth to the community.  Similarly to that here in the Finger Lakes, LVRR played a significant role, connecting this region to the larger rail network and facilitating the movement of both freight and passengers.  The LVRR's influence in the Finger Lakes is still evident today through the Finger Lakes Railway which operates on portions of the former LVRR trackage and through historical societies and museums that preserve the railroad's legacy.

Now living in Ontario County, she’s already begun exploring.
