National Mulled Wine Day is celebrated on Mar. 3 this year - but for Arbor Hill the celebration continues all month long. The winery is featuring three of their wines paired with mulling spices from the Arbor Hill wine shop every weekend in March to recognize the national holiday.

Mrs. Brahm's Very Cranberry wine, the Rhine Street Red, and Arbor Hill's Noir will be featured on Saturdays and Sundays in March at the Arbor Hill Wine Shop and at their adjacent restaurant, Brew & Brats. The mulling spices come in their own variety as well, with distinct flavors such as caramel apple, cinnamon orange blend, hot buttered rum blend, and original flavor. When paired, the spices and warmed wines offer up a unique taste and warmth to fend off the cold.

Mulled wine has been a celebrated drink in Europe for centuries. It became popular in the United States around the Christmas and New Year's holidays, with people often complementing a large meal with the spiced, heated beverage. "Winter is not over for us yet," says John Brahm, owner of Arbor Hill. "There is nothing better than a warm, mulled wine to get us through these last few weeks of cold weather."

Mulled wine tastings will be available at the wine shop or by stopping into Brew & Brats at Arbor Hill, just three miles south of Bristol Mountain in Naples, NY. Or purchase the wines and spices online at www.thegrapery.com.

About Arbor Hill

Arbor Hill is a family owned and operated winery in Naples, NY. It opened in 1987 and features wines made with experimental grape varieties - 21 different wines, to be exact. The winery also produces 54 gourmet food products and in 2011 opened "Brew and Brats at Arbor Hill" in the historic carriage barn adjacent to the winery's tasting room and gift shop. The new restaurant couples locally-made sausages with its own craft beers and compliments them with a few of their very own gourmet sauces, like the Sherried Wine BBQ Sauce.
