FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 19, 2012

Be part of history August 17 -18th 2012!

The second annual Finger Lakes Music & Wine Festival will again be hosted at Lakefront Park along the shore of beautiful Seneca Lake in Geneva, New York.

Come sample the best that New York State has to offer: wineries from across the state will be in attendance showcasing and sampling their award winning wines.

Headlining the main stage on Friday night is the Dave Matthews tribute band Big Eyed Phish.  Saturday features legendary guitarist Dickey Betts. A founding member of the Allman Brothers Band,  Betts was inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 and won a Grammy for his instrumental “Jessica” in 1996. In addition to the great headlining acts, the festival will also feature some of the best classic rock, country, Jazz and Blues artists from around the region, such as The Tommy Burnett Band, Taran, Paul Cummings & The Crossroads, Ruby Shoes, and Mochester, with more to be announced.

The festival will also feature a micro-brew tent, artisan cheeses from the Finger Lakes Region and a wide variety of vendors. Satisfy appetites at the “Taste of the Finger Lakes” food court, featuring culinary delights and festival favorites.

Perhaps more importantly: This year’s festival is attempting to make history!

Saturday night, August 18, the Finger Lakes Music & Wine Festival will attempt to break the world record for the largest wine tasting event; the current record is held by Spain’s Aranda de Duero with 5,095 participants.

The Finger Lakes Music & Wine Festival is “Sampling For A Cause”.  Two dollars from every wine tasting ticket sold on Saturday night will go directly to the Happiness House in Geneva NY.  Help us break the world wine tasting record and raise over $10,000 for a great local charity. www.happinesshouse.org
