The Geneva Theatre Guild is celebrating their 40th Anniversary with a gala celebration at the Ramada on the Lakefront in Geneva, October 5.

Forty years ago, on April 17, 1978 twelve residents of Geneva and the surrounding area were inspired to create the Geneva Theatre Guild. Since then it has produced quality theatre in Geneva at venues such as the Smith Opera House, area wineries, the Geneva Library and local restaurants and clubs.

The Gala will start at 6pm with a reception and cash bar while the local trio, Clifton Station composed of Bill and Margaret Lally accompanied by Deb Hodgeman on the piano play a wide variety of music. The evening will include a silent auction and a dedication to board member Eleanor Stearns and her husband Brent, another longtime board member who passed two years ago.  Eleanor is now serving her 40th year on the board of the Geneva Theatre Guild. Former board members and presidents,  Murray Heaton, Pat Collins, Larry Ann Evans and Jennifer Walczak will be the evening’s presenters and speakers along with current President of the Guild, Jennifer Mitchell.

Dinner begins at 7:15 and the selections are Roasted Apple Chicken and Caramelized Fennel, Mahi-Mahi Dinner or Vegetable Wellington. Tickets are $55 per person, or $100 for two and are available online www.genevatheatreguild.org

Reservations for the Gala must be placed by September 21, 2018.
