South Bristol, NY - July 6, 2012 - The Brown Hound Bistro, 6459 Route 64 in Bristol Springs, introduces Chefs Clay Secrest & Evan Schapp this summer. The two chefs worked together at the NY Wine & Culinary Center and joined the Brown Hound in May, jumping at the opportunity to develop the restaurant's 'buy local' vision with heightened focus.
Chef Clay Secrest grew up just down the road from the bistro in Naples and is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Evan Schapp, another local from Honeoye, has trained with notable chef, Dan Martello at Good Luck, among others.
The experience and dynamics between the two has resulted in a menu that one would expect at a big city, highly rated establishment. The rural, rustic atmosphere is juxtaposed to the modern & exquisite plates being served, but together create a unique and delightful foodie experience.
