IT’S MAPLE SEASON, AND TIME FOR PANCAKES

VICTOR, New York, December 28, 2023 — Winter in the Finger Lakes means maple syrup, and Kettle Ridge Farm in Victor, NY figures to be busy. More than 1,500 maple trees are tapped each year at the family-owned farm that was started in 2010.

The farm’s popular Pancake Sundays run 9am-1pm each Sunday from January 7 to March 3. The family-friendly event features a maple-drenched menu—not only pancakes but also egg sammies, yogurt parfaits topped with maple granola, braised beef hash, maple sugar donuts, hot chocolate, and maple smores. Seating in the heated barn is first come-first served. Visitors may also gather around one of the fire pits to enjoy their meals and smores.

As a New York State Farm Micro-winery, Kettle Ridge Farm serves its own mead (honey wine) on Pancake Sundays, along with a selection of New York State craft beers and wines. For a truly special experience, “Adopt-a-Maple” provides families and other groups the opportunity to tap a maple tree, tour the sugarhouse, and receive an assortment of maple products. Adopters can also enjoy their meals in one of the farm’s six heated igloos. Adopt-a-Maple requires advance reservations.

“On a nice winter day, you can’t beat the atmosphere and experience we’ve created here,” says farm manager Chris Hurley. “It’s a great way to spend time with your family and friends.” For details on Pancake Sundays and Adopt-a-Maple, visit https://www.kettleridgefarm.com/.
