Victor, N.Y. — Indus Hospitality Group has completed a $1.8 million renovation of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Victor. The six-month project concluded in July at the 104-room hotel, of which 13 are suites. Enhancements include an extended lobby and breakfast area as well new carpet, paint, and décor in guest corridors and guest rooms.
Award-winning, family-owned Indus Hospitality group owns and operates more than 50 hotels and restaurants in the region, including the Victor Microtel, also located on Main Street Fishers in Victor. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Victor was built in 2006 and acquired by Penfield-based Indus in 2016. The hotel is located just off Thruway Exit 45 and I-490 and is near to Eastview Mall, Hill Cumorah, and the Finger Lakes region, and is 15 minutes from downtown Rochester
With these renovations, the property now features the Holiday Inn Express brand's Formula Blue color in its design. The lobby area is now an open-space design encompassing the business center and breakfast area, featuring barn doors, couches, high-top tables, plus charging stations for electronic devices. The next round of renovations will focus on the exterior of the two-story hotel, including landscaping and an addition of an outdoor patio.
“This extensive renovation has elevated our ability to meet the needs of today’s experienced traveler and enhances the guest experience,” said Anthony Manzari, General Manager of the hotel. “Our guests are in love with the new look. Many of our repeat guests have said they didn’t recognize the hotel when they walked in.”
The array of rooms includes 29 rooms with king beds and 62 room with two queen beds, plus 13 suites. Four rooms and three suites have been designed with a special ADA focus (American Disabilities Act). Among the new amenities are laundry services for guests, refrigerators in every room, the addition of blackout curtains, more lighting options, plus new bathrooms, tile, rugs, beds, clocks, and closets.
“The completed renovations at the Holiday Inn Express Victor are an exciting milestone both for the hotel and the Greater Rochester hospitality community,” said Don Jeffries, President & CEO of Visit Rochester. “Congratulations to Indus Hospitality Group on the completion of this project, and for continuing to serve and welcome visitors to Rochester and the Finger Lakes.”
While the number of rooms remains the same, creative room configurations (such as more double-queen rooms) and the addition of room refrigerators and expanded common areas have further opened the hotel to large business groups and traveling sports teams. The large parking lot is also attractive for group travelers using tour buses.
“We are proud to bring a fresh new product while continuing exceptional customer service to the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes area,” Manzari said. “We have the hardest-working team, from our frontline to our cleaning staff. We have a happy team, and since we’re happy we in turn make our guests happy.”
