Time to kick back and relax! This year marks my third year as a father and I'm looking forward to carving out a special time on Saturday and Sunday to celebrate! The only challenge I'm having is what to do first.
Here's my list of choices - what do you think I should do?
#1. Play a round of golf on your favorite course!
Did you know that Ontario County has over 10 public golf courses? Plenty of options for Dad but be sure to make a tee time. See our full list here.
#2. Take to the trees at the Bristol Mountain Aerial Park & Canopy Tours
Take a drive to the top of Bristol Mountain and enjoy fun for the entire family. Explore the great outdoors with the new Zipline Canopy Tours or test your skills at the Aerial Adventure Course.
#3. Try your hand at wakeboarding at Roseland Wake Park
On Saturday, June 18th from 10am-5pm guests can try their hand at wakeboarding, wake skating or tryout the AquaGlide, a giant floating obstacle course. Liquid Force and Roseland Wake Park are partnering to provide one day of free watersports to anyone attends this Free For All event. Even if you know how to wakeboard already you can take advantage of free time on the cable park course including rentals.
#4. Learn to Kayak with the Family at L.L Bean Discovery School
Visit LL.Bean for full list of events and upcoming classes. Looking to getaway? Check out the Full Moon light cruise for just the two of you!
#5. Be your own captain and get out on the water and enjoy all the Finger Lakes has to offer.
Catch some waves this weekend! Check out all of the water activities we have to offer or even rent a boat!
#6. Grab a great meal from one of your favorite Finger Lakes Restaurants!
Rio Tomatlan is just one of those great restaurant options and sources say they have a great tequila selection.
#7. It’s lucky number 7, head to the Finger Lakes Gaming and Race Track in Farmington.
#8. Fill your growlers and enjoy some excellent Finger Lakes craft beer.
We heard that Dad's like beer? Swing by and fill up for the weekend at Naked Dove Brewing. PS. Makes great gift too...
#9. Explore the waterfalls at Grimes Glen
After the adventure end the day with ice cream at Lynnie Lou’s. Or, better yet, just eat ice cream all day.
#10. Empty.
Why? Because it's Father’s Day and not every father is alike. Whatever your special interest - go out and "Jump In" to whatever makes you happy. Enjoy!
