“Restoring Our Food & Culture Through the Natural World” will be an engaging and transformative cultural experience as two Internationally known Potawatomi women -Robin Wall Kimmerer (Author, Speaker, Educator) and Loretta Barrett Oden (Indigenous Chef, Food Historian, and Cultural Advocate) share their insights and beliefs on their deep connection to the natural world, reciprocity, and how food sovereignty is vital for a thriving culture.

In addition to the insightful presentations, the day will include a progression of “Mindful Tastings” created by Chef Barrett Oden. Guests will experience a slow process of tasting Indigenous delights, while creating community, and learning from the messages of our guest speakers.

As a way to build bridges and create connections, local community members will also be joining us, sharing their life’s work, as they progress from table to table, enjoying Indigenous tastings.
