Since 1894, the Smith Opera House has thrived as the center stage of the Finger Lakes, offering quality performing arts and cultural opportunities for area residents and regional visitors. With a wide variety of programming that includes live concerts, plays, operas, lectures, films and community events, the theater is an ongoing symbol of historic preservation, non-profit perseverance and artistic excellence. The Smith is an architectural treasure in a fully restored theater that is air-conditioned in summer months. The Smith Opera House is a perfect venue for taking in a live performance of music, dance, theater or speech. The Smith boasts the largest indoor silver screen in the region and now features state-of-the-art digital projection. A wide variety of indie, classic and family films fill the calendar. For many live events, The Smith offers Finger Lakes wines and beer.
