Foodie Trail - Chasing the Color Purple Trail

Purple fire hydrants in Naples – Naples, said to be the "Grape Pie Capital of the World," is definitely biased when it comes to the color spectrum.  Its favorite color? Purple, of course! The abundance of purple fire hydrants throughout the town of Naples displays its love of the grape. This itinerary sends you on a chase for the color purple with all the flavonoids in tack.

Jerome’s U-Pick – The scenery is spectacular as you spend a morning or afternoon in the vineyards at Jerome's. In addition to grapes, you can also pick raspberries and other seasonal delights.

Grape pie – It’s estimated that 70,000 of these delicious pies are sold in Naples each year! There are several vendors selling grape pies, including Monica's Pies and Joseph's Wayside Market and Cindy’s Pies, highlighted in National Geographic.

Finger Lakes Gallery & Frame – Step into a world of art at this gallery in downtown Canandaigua. You’re sure to spot quite a few pieces of art inspired by grapes.

Red Jacket Orchard in Geneva sells cold-pressed juice blends, including grape juices and a special one called, of course, Healthy Purple.
