Now in its 38th year, the Skaneateles Festival provides world-class music by the lake. Every August this month-long, award-winning festival hosts renowned musicians who leave big cities and major concert halls to live, eat, laugh, rehearse and perform together in the beautiful lakeside village of Skaneateles.
The Skaneateles Festival has been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Country Living, and Bon Appetit Magazine.
World-renowned Festival performers include Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, three-time Grammy Award winning violinist Hilary Hahn, Time for Three, pianists Joey Alexander, Peter Serkin, Misha Dichter, Garrick Ohlsson, and Jon Nakamatsu, guitarist Eliot Fisk, and famed conductor David Zinman.
Thursday and Friday chamber concerts are held in a village church. Saturday concerts are held outdoors under the stars at the new Robinson Pavilion at Anyela’s Vineyards. The Skaneateles Festival offers classical and contemporary music as well as Jazz, along with KidsFest! concerts for families and free community events.
