It could be a classic or independent movie. Or maybe a symphony orchestra concert or ballet. Perhaps a world-renowned rock band, or an acoustic duo you've never heard of but will be glad you did. It's always a surprise at The Smith, a Geneva landmark since 1894. The Smith Club Series spotlights indie musicians in more intimate settings, from wineries to dinner clubs.
Lights and music on a midsummer’s eve make for a glorious garden experience at Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park. During this special summer series, the grounds come alive as musical artists perform a concert in the gardens. While watching the show, enjoy light refreshments and a glass of wine from the Finger Lakes Wine Center.
#4. Happy hour and more at the wineries and breweries
A day at a favorite winery or brewery could also turn into an evening of great food, drink and entertainment. A few tasty examples: Pizza on the Patio is a sell-out summer dinner event at Billsbory Winery, while Open Mic on Saturdays at Brew and Brats offers a free and fun atmosphere.
#6. CMAC concert
Bring a blanket and spend a night under the stars (or reserve a cover seat) at this open-air seasonal performing arts center, renowned for bringing in the best in county, rock, classical, and indie. Past acts include Santana, Kenny Chesney, Kesha, Boz Scaggs, and Megadeth.
