Finger Lakes Beer Trail
The craft-brew revolution is (back) on in the Finger Lakes. The Finger Lakes is home to more than 75 craft and farm breweries for touring and tasting. Thanks to a revival in regional hop farming and barley cultivation, it is really local - many use locally grown hops and malt. The easiest way to find all these breweries is to follow the Finger Lakes Beer Trail. Do a tasting or enjoy a pint on site. You can also buy growlers to enjoy later.
Forge your own distinctive brew trail or satisfy your thirst with an adventure along the Finger Lakes Beer Trail.
Did you know that in the 19th century, upstate New York was the hops capital of the country and climbing vines were abundant throughout the Finger Lakes region?
Every microbrewery in Ontario County has its own distinct personality, from a winery that serves its own beer with sausage in a historic carriage house and a contemporary farm brewery with a view of its own hop yard, to a downtown hipster brew pub that spins vinyl on a record player behind the bar.
What do these microbreweries all have in common? A passion for brewing great-tasting IPAs, Belgian-style ales, bocks, porters, and stouts. But, mostly what they have in common is a passion for the brew and the opportunity to share it all!
