Canandaigua, NY – The 2011 Canandaigua Wine Trail Spring Event – "Plant Yourself in the Finger Lakes" will give the public a chance to sample the new wine releases at the Canandaigua Wine Trail wineries. The event will be May 6, 7 and 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

This will be the first time these wines will be available to the public, so only ticket holders will be able to taste and purchase. Ticket holders will be able to try the new wines at Arbor Hill Grapery (Bristol Springs), Casa Larga Vineyards (Fairport), Heron Hill Bristol Tasting Room (Bristol), Inspire Moore Winery (Naples), Finger Lakes Wine Center at Sonnenberg Gardens (Canandaigua) and Wilhelmus Estate Winery (Canandaigua). Plus a new sample will be available at the New York Wine & Culinary Center (Canandaigua).
 
Tickets to the event will be $5 and will be available at all of the wineries.
 
The 2011 Canandaigua Wine Trail passport is also now available for $10 per person. The Passport provides a wine tasting at each winery and wine center, with each winery offering a different type of discount which changes according to season. To purchase the current Trail Passport, visit any of the wineries or wine centers on the trail.
