Sweet Eats and Frozen Treats
Calling all ice cream coneheads and chocoholics! Here's the scoop on your Finger Lakes ice cream and candy options. Make your way through all of these places and you'll be an official "dessert head" in the Finger Lakes.
But, we might just point out these favorites!
For ice cream and frozen custards made in-house, Shark's Ice Cream in Bloomfield and Cheshire Farms Creamery in Canandaigua rule. These are testimony that it pays to the taste buds to have the treats made on site.
Chocolates, fudge, nuts and other confections abound at Sweet Expressions, where you can also get gift baskets.
Want to slurp that slushie by the water? Long Pier Ice Cream & Rentals is right on Seneca Lake, and Scoops is right across the street from Kershaw Park on Canandaigua Lake.
Take a step back in time at A's Sweets & Treats, a 1930s-style soda shop near Canandaigua that serves savory foods too.
To mix with the locals, Lynnie Lou's in Naples, Mr. Twistee's in Geneva and Papa Jack's in Victor deliver a sense of community along with those sweet, cool licks.
(Do note that many of our ice cream shops are only open seasonally.)
