Family Time

Day 1:

You have arrived! Start your mini-vacation Friday with an early dinner at Bee Hive Brew Pub with tasty brews for you and a variety of pub fare foods for everyone to enjoy. Alternatively, if your family is more food-adventurous, you may want to dine at Rheinblick German Restaurant for an authentic German culinary experience. Follow dinner with a rousing game of laser tag or bumper cars at Roseland Bowl Family Fun Center and top it off with an artisan ice cream treat at Cheshire Farms Creamery (link?) in Canandaigua so everyone feels like a winner! Settle in for the night at any one of many budget-friendly hotels and recoup your energy for Day 2 of adventure.

Day 2:

Saturday morning, take a scenic drive down to the Naples Grape Festival, where it is all about our Finger Lakes grapes. There is plenty of food (including the famous grape pie) as well as arts, crafts, live local music, and wine (for Mom and Dad) to keep you entertained for hours at this annual event held in late September.

Afterwards, everyone will enjoy the view of fall foliage beginning to show its colors from the Bristol Mountain Comet Express as it takes you to the summit.  Ride the chairlift down or go by foot for a scenic hike. Close out the day with dinner at Brews and Brats at Arbor Hill (they have a special kid's meal), in Naples before you head back to your home away from home for the night.

Day 3:

Today is the last day before you head home, so rise bright and early and squeeze in a little more fun before you hit the road.

First, make a stop at the award-winning Wegmans grocery store to pick up everything you need for a family picnic. This home- grown grocery store chain sells pretty much any food you can imagine.

Fall is prime pumpkin season and you will see pumpkin stands everywhere as you travel the country roads of the Finger Lakes. The  Pick'N Patch in Stanley offers plenty of pumpkins plus a corn maze, farm animals to pet, a mini train ride and a funhouse. It is a great way to experience the fall harvest.

So, back to that picnic lunch. Grab a picnic table on Canandaigua's City Pier and enjoy the view of Canandaigua Lake and the blush of fall colors in the surrounding hills as you enjoy your Wegman’s lunch.  Before you pile back into the car, meander among the historic, quaint boathouses on the pier and take some family photos to remember your special weekend together in the Finger Lakes.
