FLVC creates awareness of all that Ontario County has to offer as a destination in order to enhance the quality of life for residents and their communities, providing diverse and memorable experiences for visitors and engendering pride among residents about where they live, work, and play.
In 2024, tourism in Ontario County generated $80.4 billion in total economic impact, with visitor spending reaching $377.7 million county-wide. Traveler activity continues to re-energize the county, the Finger Lakes regional economy, and New York State as evident in the $44.9 million produced in state and local taxes, reflecting a strong demand for the county’s robust travel product portfolio.
Tourism contributed 5% of all personal income in Ontario County and supported 5,150 jobs in 2024, accounting for 8.1% of total regional employment. The average household in Ontario County would have to pay an additional $942 to maintain the same level of government revenue.
