Canandaigua, NY – Twisted Rail Brewing Company, Inc., announces its Spirits of the Season series, featuring weekly tasting events by guest Finger Lakes New York Farm Distillers.  Spirits of the Season will kick off Thanksgiving weekend and continue every Sunday through the holiday season at Twisted Rail’s brewery and tasting room located at 20 Pleasant Street in Canandaigua’s historic Railroad District.

Canandaigua, NY (November 19, 2014) Mother Nature has made herself known over the past week and Bristol Mountain has taken advantage of the earlier than normal frigid temperatures to get a jump on snowmaking operations.    With one of the earliest start dates in their history, Bristol Mountain will kick off their 51st season on Thursday, November 20th.  The earliest opening date on record was November 9, 1991.  Last year the season began on November 26th and ran for 134 days.  “We couldn’t be happier”, says spokesperson, Drew Broderick.  “Our snowmaking team has been working very since last Friday night when they started up the snowguns.   The very low temperatures have been perfect for snowmaking.” 
November 17, 2014 (Hammondsport, NY) – Heron Hill Winery has released five unique, dry Rieslings from the 2013 vintage to exhibit the wondrous influence that growers and terroir can have on wine. Over the years Heron Hill Winery has developed close relationships with grape growers at select sites across the Finger Lakes. Heron Hill has bottled its own single vineyard designated Riesling for over twenty years under the Ingle Vineyard label. In addition to Riesling from Ingle Vineyard on Canandaigua Lake and Heron Hill’s Estate Vineyard on Keuka Lake, the Single Vineyard Series will also include a Riesling from Morris Vineyard on Seneca Lake, Patrician Verona Vineyard on Cayuga Lake, and Hobbit Hollow Farm on Skaneateles Lake. 
Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park held its Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner on November 2nd. At the event, Sonnenberg Gardens recognized these volunteers for their many hours of generous service. During the 2014 season, 250 people volunteered at Sonnenberg and shared over 22,000 hours. It is through their generosity and commitment that Sonnenberg’s legacy is kept alive in the Canandaigua community.
