Canandaigua, NY - The Ontario County tourism promotion agency, Finger Lakes Visitors Connection has released the 2011 visitors guide, known as the "Mega Guide" and 60,000 copies are "hitting the roadsides" throughout New York State and the Finger Lakes. The Mega Guide is available to visitors and residents looking to explore all there is to experience in Ontario County.

The four color 4 x 9 guide is power packed with information. It includes two maps - an Ontario County reference map, vivid photos and story panels depicting common travelers experiences in the area, six themed trail ideas, insider's tips and accommodations listings. Several QR codes allow the readers to receive more information, using smart phone technology, to fill in the details through the Finger Lakes Visitors Connection's website or other related links.

"There is so much to do here in the Finger Lakes and so much we wanted to put into this guide. That is one of the reasons we are calling this the 'Mega Guide'," said AJ Shear, Communications Manager for the Finger Lakes Visitors Connection. "Family activities, outdoor sports, winter fun, food and wine, local art and culture... it's all packed in to this guide. It is a highly informative resource for people looking to get out and enjoy the Finger Lakes."

The Mega Guide will be distributed to information centers and key visitor locations, be available in an online format, and in response to advertising through the Finger Lakes Visitors Connection. The Mega Guide will be directly delivered to three different key tourism markets - Buffalo, Skaneateles and Watkins Glen, as well as at various travel trade shows throughout the year.
