GENEVA, NY –

WHAT:  Do you want to help make your community sparkle for the spring and summer visitors? The Finger Lakes Visitors Connection invites volunteers to join the community cleanup efforts during National Tourism Week (May 5-13, 2012).

WHERE: The Finger Lakes Visitors Connection and the Ontario County tourism industry will be out on May 8 working to clean up the lakefront area from the Ramada Geneva Lakefront to Jennings Beach.

WHEN:

Geneva Lakefront cleanup – May 8th, 9 am to noon

WHO: The Finger Lakes Visitors Connection in conjunction with the Geneva Business Improvement District and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.

WHY: Every year, the U.S. Travel Association works to promote the value of tourism during National Tourism Week and encourages local community members to help in the cause. This year, the Ontario County tourism industry is banding together to help get the area ready for the spring and summer seasons. By helping and caring for each other and our community, we all become better. Be a part of our National Tourism Week “Caring Team” and let the community know you care!
