Tourism is a world of small businesses – and the OCEDC has just created a fund to stimulate that growth. It’s nicknamed the EAGLE fund (Expansion and Growth Loan for Enterprise) and it offers loans ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 for both new and existing small businesses within Ontario County.
The joint press release announces that “Eligible businesses from a range of sectors—including manufacturing, retail, services, tourism, and agriculture—that meet lawful business requirements can apply. Loan funds can be used for diverse business needs, such as purchasing machinery, equipment, or inventory, acquiring or remodeling buildings, training employees, or covering working capital.”
FLVC has attached the easy to apply flyer and program overview on this page.
Key benefits include a fixed interest rate of 2.5% and flexible loan terms. Valerie Knoblauch, President of FLVC encourages you to take a look, saying, “for years our small businesses have wanted access to some grant money for small projects – as they scale up for demand, we commend the Ontario County Economic Development Corporation and its leadership for recognizing the possibilities of incremental growth for those businesses, allowing them the opportunity for support at a pace they can achieve.”
