Welcome spring among flowers, art, and music with April events in the Finger Lakes.
Hodinöhsö:ni’ Art Show Exhibit at Ganondagan
Witness the ancestral talent and culture of the Finger Lakes at the Hodinöhsö:ni’ Art Show Exhibit at Ganondagan State Historic Site (7000 County Road 41, Victor, N.Y.) from April 8–11, 2026, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m, showcasing selected pieces from the Hodinöhsö:ni’ Juried Art Show.
As the United States commemorates the 250th anniversary of the American War for Independence—and reflects on what this history represents for many Native American communities—Ganondagan has chosen a different focus for this year’s theme. Rather than centering on the Revolutionary War, the art show highlights Sgë:nö–A Revolutionary Peace. The art exhibition will be on view at the Seneca Art & Culture Center at Ganondagan, featuring selected works that reflect how participating artists interpreted this meaningful theme.
Broadway at The Lake

From Broadway to Canandaigua, experience an unforgettable evening of music with Talia Suskauer (Wicked, Be More Chill, Sunday in the Park with George) and Jonathan Christopher (Sweeney Todd, Hamilton) on Friday, April 17, 2026, with Broadway at The Lake at The Lake House on Canandaigua (770 S. Main St., Canandaigua, N.Y.).
Set in the Event Barn, this intimate performance will celebrate iconic Broadway moments with beloved, award-winning songs from legendary musicals—spanning timeless classics to contemporary favorites. The duo will be joined by Music Director Dan Micciche, conductor of the hit Broadway musical Wicked, for a night that brings the magic of the stage to the heart of the Finger Lakes.
The Orchid Show & Plein Air Showcase

Celebrate the arrival of spring with the Orchid Show & Plein Air Showcase at Sonnenberg Gardens (250 Gibson St., Canandaigua, N.Y.) on Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26, 2026. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., meet orchid experts from the Genesee Region Orchid Society, stroll through the greenhouse and arboretum, visit the Bay House Gift Shop filled with orchids to purchase, and enjoy a plein air showcase by the artists of “The Off-Color Painters” in the Carriage House.
