Geneva Music Festival 2025: A Festival of Music and Wine

Throughout history, humankind has looked for ways to connect with their inner existence and reflect who they are in all kinds of creations. And even though we are not going to get quite so existential about the marvelous Finger Lakes experience, one thing that will definitely give you a good time and help you connect with yours—and the Finger Lakes' soul—is this year's Geneva Music Festival, featuring a mix of two of the best creations in history: music and, of course, wine.

This summer, from May 15 to June 8, head to charming Geneva for a multi-sensory experience! This year's theme, A Festival of Music and Wine, invites all of us to lie back and enjoy an outstanding lineup of musicians performing across Geneva, offering exclusive wine pairings from Finger Lakes wineries, immersive concerts, and themes throughout the events that will make this festival like no other concert you’ve attended before.

Festival Highlights:

  • W4RP Trio (May 15, Ravines Winery) — Kicking off the festival, this high-energy concert blends genres like classical, jazz, bluegrass, and rock into a dynamic performance. Guests can enjoy award-winning wines from Ravines Winery.

  • Tradition & Innovation (May 23 & May 24, Gearan Center for the Performing Arts, HWS) — Like wine that reflects the character of its terroir, this program explores how music expresses cultural heritage, balancing time-honored traditions with contemporary flair. Billsboro Winery will offer a public tasting, plus a special vintage exclusively for wine club members.

  • Old World Roots (May 29 & May 30, Gearan Center) — This concert series explores the influence of European composers, spotlighting French and German masterpieces that shaped both classical music and winemaking traditions. A wine tasting will be presented by Keuka Lake Vineyards, with final details to come.

  • Cécile McLorin Salvant & Sullivan Fortner Duo (May 31, Gearan Center) — Enjoy an intimate performance from five-time Grammy Award winner Cécile McLorin Salvant, praised by The New York Times as the most exceptional jazz vocalist of the last decade, alongside acclaimed pianist Sullivan Fortner. Airy Acres will provide a complimentary tasting, with an optional premium pour for wine club members.

  • German Legends (June 5 & June 6, Gearan Center) — Just as Hermann J. Wiemer introduced the finesse of German winemaking to the Finger Lakes, this program honors the enduring power of German Romanticism in music. Attendees will be treated to a thoughtfully curated tasting by Hermann J. Wiemer, including an exclusive reserve wine for club members.

As Nietzsche said, 'Without music, life would be a mistake'—and when you add wine to the equation, the only risk you're taking is finding the perfect pairing.
